PHILANTHROPIC INDEPENDENT PROJECT CONSULTANT

Are you a go-getter wanting to make the world a better place? We’re looking for highly motivated, data-driven, creative problem solvers who want to work with us 8 – 10 hours per week through a short-term project contract as we support extraordinary philanthropists tackle major problems and inequities.  

  

We’re a small, boutique advisory firm. Our leaders have decades of experience in the philanthropic and nonprofit sectors. We’re looking for project contractors to support our client projects across a variety of issues including: education, environment, health, economic opportunity, racial equity, civic infrastructure, and arts and culture. Contracted consultants work with us on a project-by-project basis. Project engagements usually run for 4 to 6 months. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

You will support client project teams. Your project work could include the following:  

  • Conduct and synthesize web-based and interview-based research in an accurate, thorough, and timely manner and translate findings into creative insights;  
  • Assist with development of discussion guides and conduct information-gathering interviews with clients; 
  • Join client team meetings for brainstorming, problem-solving, and deliverable development;  
  • Translate research findings into creative, data-based insights to inform client recommendations; 
  • ​​​​​​​Prepare PowerPoint presentations for client meetings and workshops; 
  • Support the creation of articles, publications, and blog posts through research, writing, and editing; 
  • Assist with research and draft business development proposals;  
  • Help to build templates, tools, and systems for the support of philanthropist clients;
